Online Video Ad Sales (Agencies/Advertisers)
We are searching for exceptional people to take positions in our broadband video commercial sales and business development efforts. We are looking for people who are experienced and passionate about media and can take leadership in developing and managing relationships with advertising agencies and customers across the broadband video commercial industry. Candidates must have experience in selling to agencies and advertisers and a proven track record for delivering on revenue goals. Candidates must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication and negotiating skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage agency and customer lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for measurement of deal status.
- Achieve sales goals each quarter.
- Continuously grow revenue via increased reach and penetration across numerous agencies and advertisers.
- Work closely with content aggregation group and marketing to structure and negotiate optimal deal terms.
- Work closely with the customer support team to share learning across key advertiser accounts.
- As the division grows, build and manage a dedicated sales support and account management team.
- Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for key stakeholders.
- Travel when necessary to meet potential customers - must be willing to be on the road often.
Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years experience in sales/business development, ideally with a leading media company.
- Experience selling to advertising agencies and video commercial advertisers.
- BA/BS in sales, business management or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to instigate, negotiate and close deals.
- A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
- Hands-on approach to tackling tactical as well as strategic work.
- Strong technical knowledge and appreciation.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
